I’m pretty much obsessing about the white boyfriends blazer and topping it off with this  hat.  I already got the hat and what I need now is the blazer.  Anybody knows if they have this in Zara (Philippines)??

I think this pic of Andy is just perfect!  I’m actually readying my outfit in my head for the 1 week vacation this October. Excited much?heh

Stressed!

September 13, 2010 Leave a comment

I’m just plain tired. Juggling motherhood, work and business is way too stressful. I find myself most of the time, wishing I could leave these worries and just wakeup in the morning without panic thoughts rushing through my head. I wish it’s the Holidays already. I wish me and hubby can go out of the country for a week-long vacation. Since I’m in a wishing-spree here, I wish my bank account has 8-digit figure in it, I wish for a new car, I wish for a house of our own ( with design approved by me and nobody else!), I wish to open a karaoke bar, I wish for a house by the beach..(hmnn, this blog post could prove to be longer than I thought. I should have put ‘I WISH’ for the title) LOL.

Just cheering myself up ..well, back to work now.

The Red Lipstick

September 8, 2010 Leave a comment

Recently, I seem to be experiencing some red-lipstick craze. I find myself buying the stuff whenever I’m near some cosmetics area. Why red lipstick, you say? One thing about red lipstick is that, it makes your teeth whiter! yep, the contrast between the red and white will make your not-so-pearly whites seem bright and sparkling. Red lipstick is attractive. It somehow projects independence and girl-power. I don’t know but, there’s something mesmerizing about red lips. I find myself staring at someone’s lips whenever that someone is wearing a red lipstick. I find that people are drawn to my lips whenever I wear a really red one like Revlon’s matte In The Red.

Red lipstick is tricky though. Applying needs to be precise. Any crooked marks will be very obvious. Be careful of red stains on your teeth, eek! I think it’s proper to wear red lipstick if you are wearing formal attire, business casual or casual sleek. Not really appropriate if you’ll be wearing shorts and flip flops.
Here’s some celebs who wear red lipstick.

Sock Buns?

August 5, 2010 Leave a comment

When I first encountered this word, I was wondering if this is a type of socks or a bread? It’s neither! LOL. It’s a doing your hair in a bun without it looking flat or ‘anemic’. This is really interesting. See the video below:

I tried it last night but I think my hair isn’t long enough anymore. I had it trimmed last week. It’s till below the shoulders but with layers and everything, I can’t seem to make a neat bun. I’ll try posting my pic in a sock bun. :p

****

here it is, my attempt at making a sock bun :D

Back At Home

I had a tiring weekend. We went to Manila over the weekend to have Alecxi checked-up by her pedia. Unfortunately, her pedia was not available. So we opt for her reliever instead. Although her CBC platelet count was normal, Alecxi’s cough was not getting better and she still had nosebleed. Just a trickle but it was unusual for her and I’m paranoid enough to have her double checked by her Manila Pedia. As usual, St. Luke’s MAB was full since it was a Saturday. Children and parents lined the hallways. I can’t wait till it’s our turn and finally get out of the mini zoo. Finally, after 4 patients, it was our turn. The reliever pedia was a bit mature but has an air of confidence and a gentle aura which seemed to be inherent to all pediatricians. The usual Q & A done and she did a physical exam. I was a bit alarmed when she said that she heard something from Alecxi’s lungs. It seems that she had phlegm in her lungs already, an early sign for pneumonia. My heart skipped a bit and me arm froze for a second. It does that whenever I was afraid or nervous about something. But no, I was fighting back and thinking no, I won’t allow that to happen to my baby. New meds and some anti-biotic to continue. No alarm for the nosebleed. It seems that it’s just normal for kids to have them but I still have doubts. I don’t see Alecxi poking her nose. She just rubs them.

So now, after 6 days of worrying and sleepless nights, Alecxi is improving. Thank God! The doc said if she wasn’t improving till today, I’ll have to get her a different anti-biotic. If her under eyes were any indication, it’s not so dark and deep anymore than that a few days ago. Her cough, although still rough, was now intermittent. Less clogged-nose, too. I think, she’s ready for school tomorrow.

For any mother who sees their child sick or in distress is very hard. I always wish every time to carry and bear whatever my daughter is experiencing. I just wanted to wrap her in my arms and protect her from anything that could harm her. But in as much as I would like it to be, I know she has to learn the ways of things by herself to help her grow strong and capable. The dilemmas of motherhood. I’m sure there are still a lot of it coming.

Still Sick At Home

July 21, 2010 Leave a comment

The daughter is still sick. I had to engage and play with her to make her forget about school (she insists on going even when I told her that she’s sick and have to rest. I had to invent a white lie, told her no school because it’s raining hard. I would have a hard time explaining if it turns out sunny today.)
I’m sharing a pic of her doing Dora puzzle. We were so surprised that she can do the puzzle by herself now. (proud momma grins).

Jessica Alba’s Looks

July 16, 2010 Leave a comment

I think Jessica Alba is very pretty. With her mixed blood (French and mexican among others), she has a versatile look that works in every role she plays. I must admit, I like seeing her in her casual days. She looks flawless even without make-up! See below some of her looks, some I really like, some, not so much.

I want those sandals and pants!
Sandals I Love!

I’m not feeling this look. But I think she’s not really worried about how she looks and just wanted to get warm! :D

I love how she almost always carries or brings with her, her daughter Honor.

Toy Story At Shell

June 15, 2010 Leave a comment

My daughter loves Toy Story, we have all the dvds from the series. So when heard about this new promo, we just have to have it.

For every Php500 fuel purchase at Shell, you pay only P130 for each of these toys.
These toys are not just your ordinary cheap looking toys in the least, as I was surprised to see. They would probably be sold at around P300-500 bucks in the market.
We already have Jessie, Woody and Buzz toy. My daughter adores her toy story toys and sleeps with them (until a new toy comes along, that is).
